Today Was A Good Day......Didn't Have To Use My AK.....

I woke up in a god mood today, and surprisingly the world didn't beat it out of me. I'm going to visit some family tonight, get to have a few beers and sit out by a fire. I don't even have to drive so I can have a few beers and not worry. yeah, that's about all I've got. I'll try to post something soon, but I guess I'll have to do something cool to blog about first. Are You An Exception?.......................

I'm drinking on a school night, that's usually not a good thing. Tonight I'm in a weird mood. Not sure if it's good or bad. Probably leaning south, I've kinda lost my faith in people. Oh, there's always exceptions, but for the most part, people are just looking out for themselves. I guess I'm just too fucking loyal, and I'm finding out that really doesn't get you anywhere. I think you need to find those exceptions in your life and put you loyalties there, and fuck the rest of them. I can count those exceptions on one hand, come to think of it. Shit, I could chop 2 of my fucking digits off and still be able to count them on one hand. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't blog when I'm drunk and salty, though if I don't.....well you get those 3 week lulls that you've had lately. So I'm gonna go now and finish gettin' my shine on. Valleys Of Neptune......

What up bitches! I'm fucked up on a school night. For some reason I decided to get fucked up and listen to music tonight. I might say that I'm in a salty mood tonight but that would only be half true. I'm only half salted. I got some new music today, some new Yardbirds and a bunch of shit that isn't even a sixtyfourth as fucking cool. My fingers are only going about half as fast as my mind is tonight so lets see if we can get a coherent post tonight. I spelled coherent correctly so I guess that's a good sign. I got to hang out with a guy that I used to work with who retired. He's one of those guys that no matter what you're doing with him you end up learning something. He was part of some of the sit-ins in the sixties in the town I grew up in. The stuff he was involved in made national headlines back then too. He also spent over 35 years in my profession, so pretty much anything he says on that subject you can take as gospel.

Ahh so what else have I been doing. I've been running a shitload. I was supposed to do 12 miles last weekend with a running group, but I missed the turn around and ended up doing 14 miles instead. I felt pretty damn good so I just kinda went with it, I could have cut off 2 miles in the middle of the run, but I did 14 anyway.

Ohh man I had all this good shit to write about but you add the haze of 12 or 14 barley pops and well, shit just kinda gets lost. You know I wish I could post some pics here, I have some really cool ones, but if I posted anything like that I'd have to hunt you all down and kill you for seeing the face of the "Kraken". I think I need to go in search of another beer. Are any of you old enough or geeks enough to remember the series from the 70's called "In Search Of" with Leonard Nimoy? Yeah that "Dukes of Hazzard" and "fantasy Island" and that was a fine evening of cinema! Now I'm going to find a beer and some fried chicken. I needs me some fried fucking chicken! Btw, I've got some new Jimi Hendrix playing, yeah it's fucking new!IT'S CALLED VALLEY OF NEPTUNE.......whoa, hey why all the yelling?! Oh wait, some drunk mother fucker hit the caps lock. You know I think I may be a motherfucker, while I never fucked my own mother I HAVE fucked some other peoples mothers, so I guess that makes me a motherfucker. Brb, I need a fucking beer. Ok, I'm back. I don't think beer and Corn Nuts are going to cut it so.....what the fuck is that cat looking at?! Funky Hot Grits!

Hey I'm back....though I wasn't ever actually gone. I was on vacation last week, just not out of town or anything. It kinda sucked, I did get to spend some time with my family and that was good, but there was too much of just the day to day crap for it to really feel like a vacation. I'd rather go somewhere if I'm off of work. I can get shit done around the house on weekends and after work. I didn't even get really drunk at all last week either, though that was my own doing. I was running a lot in the mornings and that really sucks if you're hungover. I did hit 300 miles for the year already, and for me that's about a month and a half early. I started doing my "long" training runs last Saturday too. I did 10 miles and every Saturday I go 2 miles further till I hit 22 and then I taper back off till my race. Crazy as it sounds, I love doing the really long runs. It's more mental than physical. If you have a decent training base most people can physically run long distances.

So, what else is new. Really nothing. Lately I just haven't been in the mood to blog when I actually have the time. I've had posts in my head, just when I have the time to sit in front of the computer, I've been opting to sit on the couch and watch tv. Well, I guess I should figure out what I have to do next here at work. I got my job done early so I actually had a chance to write something. Maybe I'll try to catch up on some of your blogs, though I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's been a bit to busy(lazy) to post lately. Later Freaks.
